Bras Flea Market

A flea market in a quiet Var hinterland village

Bras is one of those confidential villages of the Provence Verte that you discover by stepping off the main roads. Set between wooded hills and Côtes de Provence vineyards, a few kilometres from Saint-Maximin and Brignoles, it keeps an agricultural and friendly identity. Its Sunday flea market, like those of neighbouring villages, is a community gathering and a delight for bargain hunters.

The 3 May 2026 edition fits into the cycle of Var spring flea markets. At Bras, the feel is typical of rural Provence: few stalls but authentic displays straight from family attics and cellars. Locals are proud to tell the story of each object.

The village is part of the Provence Verte label, thirty or so communes of central Var united by a strong rural, wine-growing and heritage identity. Extend the day with a visit to nearby cellars, a garrigue hike or lunch in a village restaurant.

Tips

Given its modest size, arrive early at Bras to catch the full unload. Best finds are usually before 10am. Bring small change, expect to walk to the village centre from the edge parking.
