Every June, the Union des Commerçants Herbretais holds the Grand Saint-Barnabé Sale — a major rendez-vous of the Vendée bocage. 50 to 100 exhibitors join local merchants in downtown Les Herbiers for bargains: fashion, jewellery, leather goods, deco, food. 2026 edition: Saturday 6 June.
The Great Saint-Barnabé Sale
A major annual event in Les Herbiers, in the heart of the Vendée bocage. Each June, 50-100 exhibitors join local shops downtown. Organised by UCAH, linked to the traditional Saint-Barnabé Fair a few weeks earlier.

Les Herbiers and Saint-Barnabé
Les Herbiers is a dynamic Bocage town. Saint Barnabé is the local patron saint (June 11), and the traditional fair goes back centuries — integral to local identity.
The sale draws thousands from across Vendée, Bocage, and nearby Maine-et-Loire / Deux-Sèvres.

Ideal gateway: Puy du Fou nearby, Mont des Alouettes (with its windmills), forests, Château d'Ardelay. Tour de France Grand Départ town (2018).
