Grand annual street sale in the city center of Nancy
Every year at the beginning of July, the streets of Nancy's city center come alive for the grand street sale. Over 350 merchants, city center boutiques, and fairground vendors set up in the pedestrian streets to offer their items at bargain prices for two days. It is one of the commercial highlights of the Lorraine capital, attracting tens of thousands of visitors.
The street sale takes over the main shopping streets of the city center: Rue Saint-Jean, Rue Saint-Dizier, Rue Notre-Dame, and their surroundings. Boutiques display their racks on the sidewalks while fairground vendors complete the offering with stalls of ready-to-wear, accessories, leather goods, and various items. The atmosphere is festive and lively, with shoppers bustling between the stalls in search of a good deal.
The Braderie de Nancy covers a wide range of products: men's, women's, and children's ready-to-wear, swimwear, shoes, fashion accessories, sports equipment, toys, decorative items, and household goods. Discounts are often significant, as merchants take advantage of the event to clear out their end-of-season collections before summer. It's the perfect time to refresh your wardrobe at low prices.
The street sale is also an opportunity to (re)discover Nancy, a city of art and history. The famous Place Stanislas, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the medieval old town, the Art Nouveau districts, and the city's museums offer an exceptional setting for a day of shopping and culture. The cafes and restaurants in the center also provide a pleasant complement to the program.
