Grand autumn street sale in the village of Plouasne, 200 to 300 exhibitors indoors and outdoors
For 30 editions, the Braderie d'Automne de Plouasne has become one of the most popular events in Côtes-d'Armor at the end of the season. Every third Sunday in October, the village of this rural commune located between Dinan and Rennes transforms into a huge flea market, attracting thousands of visitors and treasure hunters.
The street sale offers a generous selection with 200 to 300 exhibitors, spread across the outdoor areas of the Place de la Mairie and the covered halls of the village. The offerings are varied: clothing, furniture, tableware, trinkets, books, toys, tools, vinyl records, collectibles, and curiosities of all kinds. The combination of indoor and outdoor spaces guarantees the event will take place in all weather conditions, a valuable asset in Breton October.
The street sale opens its doors as early as 5 am, delighting the most avid treasure hunters who come with their flashlights to find rare items before dawn. This early opening is a tradition of Breton street sales and car boot sales, allowing connoisseurs to get the best deals. For more relaxed visitors, the day continues until 5 pm.
Organized by the Comité des fêtes de Plouasne, the street sale mobilizes many volunteers to ensure the welcome, exhibitor placement, food, and drink. The profits are reinvested in local events throughout the year. This event has become a pillar of Plouasne's associative life and a key moment of cohesion for the inhabitants.
