For over a decade, the Cyclo Club de Gières has organized a bicycle sale every spring at the town's village hall. This event has become a must-attend gathering for cyclists in the Grenoble area looking to sell or acquire a used bike at a reasonable price.

An Organized Consignment System

The bicycle sale operates on a well-established consignment system. Individuals drop off their bikes in the morning starting at 9 am, filling out a consignment form and agreeing to the sale's regulations. Cyclo Club volunteers tag each bike with the price set by the seller. Sales to buyers begin in the afternoon from 1:30 pm.

Bikes for All Profiles

At the Gières bicycle sale, you can find all sorts of bikes: mountain bikes, road bikes, city bikes, children's bikes, hybrid bikes, and electric bikes. Prices are generally very attractive compared to new models, making it an excellent opportunity to equip yourself at a lower cost. Club volunteers can also advise buyers on choosing a bike suited to their needs.

An Ecological and Economical Act

Beyond the economic aspect, the bicycle sale is also an ecological gesture: giving a second life to a bike rather than letting it gather dust in the garage. The Cyclo Club de Gières thus promotes cycling and reuse, in line with the values of the club and the municipality.
