The Varangéville Toy Sale: Prepare for Christmas Smartly

Every autumn, the Varangéville village hall hosts its toy sale, a highly anticipated event for families in the Dombasle-sur-Meurthe area and beyond. This annual gathering allows you to find toys, games, and children's items at low prices, while giving a second life to items that children have outgrown.

The Principle of the Sale

The process is simple and practical. Individuals drop off their items on Friday afternoon (from 2 PM to 6 PM), labeled and in good condition. The sale then takes place on Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday from 2 PM to 6 PM. Unsold items are collected on Monday from 4 PM to 6 PM. This managed consignment system ensures smooth and transparent operation for both sellers and buyers.

Accepted Items

The sale accepts a wide range of items: toys, board games, console games, CDs, DVDs, children's books (limited to 5 per drop-off), puzzles (maximum 1000 pieces, in a bag), stuffed animals (maximum 2), linens, Christmas decorations, party outfits, and costume jewelry. However, leather goods and picture frames are not accepted.

A Solidarity and Ecological Event

Beyond the economic aspect, the Varangéville toy sale is part of an ecological approach by promoting the reuse and recycling of toys. Instead of throwing away or letting good-condition toys lie dormant in a closet, families give them a second life, benefiting other children who will welcome them with joy.
