About Blaye-les-Mines Flea Market

In Blaye-les-Mines, a former mining town in the Carmaux coal basin, the late spring flea market takes over the Lendrevie leisure park each year, around the Daniel Balavoine hall. Among the trees and along the lakeside, stalls stretch out in a lush green setting that shows how the Tarn blends industrial heritage with nature. A friendly day often enhanced by a semi-evening gourmet market.

A flea market in a former mining basin

Blaye-les-Mines, next to Carmaux, carries in its name the coal heritage that shaped this northern part of the Tarn for more than two centuries. Since the mines closed, the Lendrevie leisure park, developed on a former industrial site, has become one of the favourite outing spots for local families. This is the peaceful setting of the annual village flea market.

An exceptional lakeside location

The wooded Lendrevie leisure park, opening onto a lake, provides one of the finest possible backdrops for a day of bargain hunting. Exhibitors set up on vast lawns and shaded paths, letting visitors stroll without the crush sometimes felt in town-centre flea markets. Benches, picnic areas and playgrounds turn the event into a genuine family outing.

What to find there

As at the Tarn's big rural flea markets, most sellers are private individuals: clothes, toys, baby gear, books, records, crockery, small furniture, tools, knick-knacks, decor and local curiosities. Finds linked to the area's industrial past (miner lamps, period tools, postcards) are not uncommon.

Gourmet market and festive atmosphere

Several editions have been combined with a semi-evening gourmet market, extending the day around shared tables and regional produce. Visitors enjoy the flavours of the Ségala and Albigeois: fouaces, charcuterie, cheese and nearby Gaillac wines. A formula that reinforces the friendly spirit of the event.
