Saint John's Fire is one of the oldest European traditions: celebrated at summer solstice, it marks the middle of the farm year. In Bellefonds, the committee has married this millennial custom to a popular contemporary formula: mussels-fries served communally in the village hall or outdoors. The fusion draws locals and neighbours from Bonnes, Bonneuil-Matours, Lauthiers, Archigny.
