About APP Sand Flea Market

The Sand Flea Market is a spring institution in the Bas-Rhin. Organized on Sunday, May 24, 2026 in the streets of Sand village (67230) by the Sand Fishing and Fish Farming Association (APP), it runs from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM in the heart of the Alsatian village. Many private and professional exhibitors offer antiques, second-hand goods, clothing, toys, dishware, books, and trinkets along the streets. APP volunteers provide light food service and refreshments all day long. A friendly event benefiting the fishing association's activities. Free admission for visitors.

A flea market benefiting the Fishing Association

The Sand Flea Market is organized each year by the Sand Fishing and Fish Farming Association (APP). The association mobilizes its volunteers to set up exhibitors and visitors in the streets of the village from dawn. The proceeds from the stalls and refreshments fund the association's activities and the maintenance of the fishing ponds, thus perpetuating a tradition rooted in this small village of the Alsatian Ried. Exhibitors pay 15€ for 5 meters and 3€ per additional meter, with professionals (confectioners, ice cream vendors) benefiting from a specific rate of 60€.

Sand, village of the Alsatian Ried

Sand is a small commune of about 1,200 inhabitants located in the Bas-Rhin, in the heart of the Ried, a natural region characterized by its wet meadows, alluvial forests, and streams. Crossed by many streams and bordered by the Ill, Sand is a paradise for fishermen and nature lovers. The village has retained its rural charm with its half-timbered houses, its Saint-Pierre-et-Paul church, and its peaceful alleys. The proximity to Benfeld, Erstein, and Strasbourg makes it an easily accessible place, and the surrounding Ried offers beautiful walks between the arms of the Ill and the Natura 2000 classified wetlands.

Bargain hunting, gastronomy, and conviviality

The flea market offers a great diversity of items: old furniture, dishware, clothing, toys, trinkets, books, records, tools, postcards, and collectibles. The refreshment stand and light food service run by APP volunteers offer tarte flambée, grilled sausages, pretzels, local beers, and refreshing drinks. Visitors can take a gourmet break throughout the day. The atmosphere is typically Alsatian: warm, family-friendly, and welcoming. Bargain hunters come from all over the Ried and the Alsatian plain to enjoy this beautiful spring day and find good deals in this picturesque village.

APP Sand Flea Market — edition 2026
