The Twinning Committee's Car Boot Sale

Every year in June, the Mérignac Twinning Committee organizes a car boot sale at the Espace du 14 Juillet, rue des Fins Bois. Private sellers set up their stalls from 6 AM, offering bargain hunters a variety of second-hand items, clothing, toys, and trinkets at low prices.

Mérignac, in the heart of the Fins Bois vineyards

Mérignac is a commune in Charente (not to be confused with Mérignac in Gironde), located south of Jarnac, in the heart of the cognac vineyards, in the Fins Bois appellation. This small rural village, surrounded by vineyards and forests, offers a peaceful setting for a day of treasure hunting. The car boot sale is an opportunity to discover this authentic corner of the Charente countryside.

An event in support of twinning

The proceeds from the car boot sale help finance the activities of the Twinning Committee, which maintains friendly relations with partner towns abroad. Refreshments and food service are provided on site by the association's volunteers. Entry is free for visitors.
