The Place de la Bastide in Galan, the historic heart of this former fortified town, hosts the car boot sale organized by ADMR (Rural Home Help Service). Galan is one of the four historic bastides in the Hautes-Pyrénées, founded under royal protection with its ramparts, fortified gates and corbelled half-timbered houses.

The ADMR of the Galan territory organizes this car boot sale at €3 per linear meter to support its rural home help services. Bargain hunters enjoy an exceptional setting: the 13th-century fortified south gate, the medieval town hall-market hall and the Saint-Julien-de-Brioude church, with its Romanesque and Gothic features, all bear witness to this Pyrenean bastide's rich past.
