Forty-one years of tradition in the medieval streets of Pontoise, prefecture of Val-d'Oise
In Pontoise, a town of art and history perched above the confluence of the Oise and Viosne rivers, the Cordeliers Flea Market is far more than a simple second-hand market. Organised every year since 1986 by the Association Familiale des Cordeliers, it stands as one of the most eagerly awaited popular events in the Val-d'Oise prefecture. In 2026, this will be the 41st edition.
The setting is remarkable: Place Van Gogh and the picturesque streets of the Cordeliers quarter, in Pontoise's medieval old town, offer bargain-hunters a postcard-perfect backdrop. This is the neighbourhood where Vincent van Gogh once lived and painted some of his most celebrated early works — lending the flea market an extra layer of cultural prestige.
Registration for sellers opens each April at the association's office at 2 rue Rodin. Free entry for visitors.
