In September 2026, the Festival Committee of Saint-Élix-d'Astarac (32450) is organizing the 3rd edition of its car boot sale in the village streets. Around 60 exhibitors are expected for this event, which has quickly found its audience since its creation in 2024, becoming a popular end-of-summer gathering in the canton.

A car boot sale at €1 per meter

One of the advantages of this car boot sale is its very accessible price: €1 per linear meter. This modest price encourages individuals to clear out their attics and cellars, ensuring a varied and abundant offering for visitors. Furniture, clothing, toys, crockery, books, tools, trinkets, and objects of all kinds make up the stalls, in the authentic spirit of a village car boot sale.

In the streets of an Astarac village

The car boot sale takes place in the streets of the village of Saint-Élix-d'Astarac, offering a treasure hunt route through the town. The village, crossed by the Baïse river, a tributary of the Garonne, covers 16 km² in a hilly landscape typical of Astarac. Stone houses, the church, and traditional farms form an authentic rural setting, ideal for a day of outdoor flea marketing.

The Festival Committee of Saint-Élix-d'Astarac is the driving force behind the festive and associative life of this village of 300 inhabitants. By creating the car boot sale in 2024, the committee added a popular event to the commune's calendar, contributing to the dynamism and attractiveness of this Gascon village. The 2nd edition, in September 2025, had already confirmed the success of the formula.
