The grand annual brocante of Marcy-l'Étoile celebrates its 36th edition, west of Lyon
On Sunday 24 May 2026, Marcy-l'Étoile (69280) hosts the 36th edition of its grand annual brocante. Since 1991, this event has brought together each year the residents of the commune and all of Lyon's western suburbs around hundreds of stalls offering antique furniture, trinkets, vintage clothes, books, tools, crockery and objects from all eras. The 36th Marcy-l'Étoile brocante is a local institution: families return each year for the atmosphere, the bargains and the pride of an event that has survived the decades while keeping its spirit as a popular market.
Marcy-l'Étoile is a commune in the western Lyon area, in the canton of Craponne, about fifteen kilometres from the centre of Lyon. It is best known for hosting the Lacroix-Laval estate, one of the largest landscaped parks in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, with its 115 hectares of gardens, woodland and meadows open to the public. This exceptional natural setting, combined with its proximity to the Lyon metropolitan area, makes Marcy-l'Étoile a sought-after residential commune. The annual brocante is a must-attend event that brings together several thousand visitors from across the western Lyon area every year.
Marcy-l'Étoile is accessible from Lyon via the D307 (route de Charbonnières) or by TCL bus. The commune is also connected to Lyon by the Sytral network.
