The 1st May Car Boot Sale in Ondes, a popular tradition

Every May 1st, the village of Ondes (31330) hosts its big annual car boot sale, organized by the Festival Committee. This spring event brings together many exhibitors and visitors in the streets of the village, a few kilometers north of Toulouse. The event is one of those traditional gatherings on the Labour Day public holiday, where families and bargain hunters meet to stroll among the stalls.

Bargain hunting in the heart of the village

Exhibitors, exclusively individuals, offer a wide variety of second-hand items: clothing, toys, books, trinkets, crockery, small furniture, garden tools, and curiosities of all kinds. The atmosphere is that of an authentic village car boot sale, far from the hustle and bustle of large urban street sales. Prices are generally very affordable and negotiation is still common.

Registration is open with the Ondes Festival Committee. Pitches are charged at 3 euros per linear meter, with a minimum of 5 meters (i.e., a minimum of 15 euros). The registration form can be downloaded from the town hall website or obtained at the town hall. Applications can also be sent by SMS to 06 07 70 35 56 or by email.
