A car boot sale for the benefit of the Ydes college

Each year, the APE (Parents' Association) of the Ydes College organizes a friendly car boot sale whose profits support educational projects and school trips for the students. This event brings together families and bargain hunters in a relaxed atmosphere, typical of associative events in Cantal.

Ydes, a Cantal town between Bort-les-Orgues and Mauriac

Ydes is a commune in northern Cantal, located on Place George Pompidou which is the heart of the town. Situated between Bort-les-Orgues and Mauriac, the commune benefits from a central position in this part of the department. The village includes several hamlets, including Largnac, which regularly hosts local events. The surrounding landscape, made up of wooded hills and valleys, offers a green setting for this mid-mountain commune.

Organization and practical arrangements

The Ydes car boot sale is strictly reserved for individuals. Pitches are offered at a rate of €3 per linear meter, with mandatory registration and payment before the event date. Vehicles are not allowed on the exhibition site, with parking provided nearby. In case of bad weather, an indoor relocation is organized to protect exhibitors and visitors.

Activities and catering

Beyond bargain hunting, the Ydes car boot sale offers light refreshments on site, prepared by APE volunteers. Fairground rides are set up for the enjoyment of children, making this day a complete family event. The friendly atmosphere and the commitment of the parents' association contribute to the success of this event, which is eagerly awaited each year.
