On Thursday, May 29, 2025, Ascension Day, the Vide-Greniers de Peyrusse-le-Roc brought together locals and visitors on the Place des Treize Vents, in the heart of this medieval village in Aveyron. Under a spring sky, private exhibitors set up their stalls in the alleys and on the village square, a stone's throw from the spectacular ruins of the former fortified city.
Bargain hunters were able to find a good variety of second-hand items: traditional crockery, clothes for the whole family, toys, books, decorative trinkets, tools, and small rustic furniture. The friendly atmosphere, typical of rural car boot sales in Aveyron, was enhanced by the on-site catering offering aligot and saucisse, emblematic specialties of the Rouergue region.
The exceptional setting of Peyrusse-le-Roc, with its two towers of the Roc del Thaluc visible from the village square, the Barbacane, the Belfry, and the Church of Notre-Dame de Laval below, gave this edition a unique atmosphere, blending popular flea market finds with the discovery of a medieval heritage classified as a historical monument.
