The Garage Sale of Place de la Marzelle

Every summer, the La Chamade association organizes its Garage Sale on the Place de la Marzelle in Terrasson-Lavilledieu. More than sixty exhibitors set up in the square and nearby streets to offer objects, clothes, trinkets, and various curiosities. Stall space is free, an initiative that encourages broad participation.

A Retro and Festive Atmosphere

This car boot sale stands out for its unique atmosphere inspired by the Belle Époque. Throughout the day, traditional games are offered to visitors: tug-of-war, ham weighing with prizes to be won. The atmosphere is enhanced by an accordionist and volunteers in 1900s costumes, creating a journey back in time in the heart of Terrasson's medieval streets.

Terrasson-Lavilledieu, Pearl of the Périgord Noir

Terrasson-Lavilledieu is a town of character in the Périgord Noir, built in an amphitheater on the banks of the Vézère. The town is famous for its Jardins de l'Imaginaire, its steep medieval alleys, its old stone bridge, and its rich architectural heritage. The Place de la Marzelle, nestled in the old town, houses one of Terrasson's most original buildings: a half-timbered house supported at one corner by a large stone pillar.
