Car boot sale and flea market in April in the village of Saint-Pompont in Périgord Noir
Every year in April, the village of Saint-Pompont (sometimes written Saint-Pompon), nestled in the heart of Périgord Noir, hosts a car boot sale and flea market in the village center, near the town hall. Organized by the Comité des fêtes, this human-sized event reflects the charm of small country flea markets in the south of the Dordogne.
Saint-Pompont is a rural commune in the south of the Dordogne, located between Domme and Belvès, in the southern part of Périgord Noir. The village, dominated by the remains of its château, offers a picturesque setting with its golden stone houses and shaded alleys. The car boot sale takes place in this typical Périgord setting.
With less than 50 exhibitors, the Saint-Pompont car boot sale maintains an intimate and friendly atmosphere. Individuals and professionals offer second-hand items, crockery, trinkets, clothes, and books at low prices. The exhibitor fee is €2 per linear meter (i.e., €10 for a 5-meter space).
Exhibitors have parking nearby and receive a free coffee upon arrival. A snack and refreshment stand is available on site. Entry is free for visitors.
