The traditional municipal spring flea market at Place du Marché Couvert
Every early spring, the Town of Brétigny-sur-Orge organises its traditional municipal flea market on the Place du Marché Couvert. Sellers can set up from 4:30am, and the PSR station car park is made available free of charge from 4am to 8pm. The Town of Brétigny-sur-Orge (bretigny91.fr) organises a spring flea market that has become a tradition for local residents and bargain hunters from across the Orge valley. Held each early April on the Place du Marché Couvert, this municipal event benefits from a central, accessible location near the RER C station. Sellers can set up from 4:30am, and the PSR station car park is available free of charge from 4am to 8pm.
Registrations open from 14 March via bretigny91.fr. Private individuals make up the bulk of sellers, in the authentic spirit of popular flea markets.
Brétigny-sur-Orge is an Essonne commune of around 24,000 inhabitants, served by RER C (Paris in under 30 minutes). The town is known for its flight test centre (CEV), where Dassault Aviation and other aeronautical manufacturers conducted historic tests on fighters and civil aircraft.
