In September 2025, the Grande Rue of Morteau was once again transformed into a second-hand market for the annual car boot sale. Individuals and flea market vendors offered a wide variety of items—clothes, dishes, books, toys, trinkets, and antique objects—on this shopping street in the heart of the Pays Horloger.

The lively and friendly atmosphere of this day attracted visitors from Morteau and neighboring towns, happy to browse the stalls in the picturesque setting of the Grande Rue. This car boot sale is part of Morteau's rich trading tradition, which hosts a monthly fair on the Foire esplanade.

The Morteau car boot sale is expected to return in September 2026 on the Grande Rue.
