Spring car boot sale in Montségur-sur-Lauzon, a Provençal village in the Drôme Tricastin
Montségur-sur-Lauzon is a village in the Drôme Tricastin, located on the banks of the Lauzon, a small tributary of the Berre, not far from Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux and the Vaucluse border. This charming village, with its typically Provençal golden stone houses, organizes a car boot sale every spring that attracts bargain hunters from the region.
Montségur-sur-Lauzon occupies a unique geographical and cultural position: on the border of southern Drôme and the Provençal influence coming from Vaucluse and Gard. The low houses with colorful shutters, the shaded alleys, and the Mediterranean vegetation give it an undeniably Provençal atmosphere, which contrasts pleasantly with the more northern landscapes of the Drôme Prealps.
The Lauzon is a small river with a pebble bed that winds through the hills of the Tricastin. Its wooded banks and low garrigue landscapes create a tranquil natural environment, ideal for walks that can accompany a day of treasure hunting in the village.
Spring in the Tricastin is a season of particular beauty: cherry and apricot trees are in bloom, lavender begins to turn green, and the temperatures are mild without being excessive. It is the ideal season to organize an outdoor car boot sale, with exhibitors and visitors fully enjoying the natural surroundings.
The Montségur-sur-Lauzon car boot sale is scheduled for Sunday, May 24, 2026. Free admission. Information available from the Montségur-sur-Lauzon town hall.
