Country car boot sale during the Madranges festival, organized by the Festival Committee
Every summer, the municipality of Madranges, a small village of about a hundred inhabitants perched on the Millevaches plateau in Corrèze, hosts its country festival, of which the car boot sale is the highlight of Saturday. Organized by the Festival Committee, the event takes place on the route du Lonzac, in a rural and green setting typical of the haute Corrèze.
The car boot sale is completely free, both for exhibitors and visitors. Individuals set up their stalls along the road and offer second-hand items, trinkets, clothes, and curiosities of all kinds. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, reflecting this mountain village where everyone knows each other.
The car boot sale is part of a festival weekend: on Saturday evening, a meal-concert brings together villagers and visitors in a festive atmosphere. On Sunday, family wooden games and activities at various stalls extend the festivities, with crepes and drinks for the whole family.
Madranges is located between Treignac and Égletons, in the heart of the Millevaches en Limousin Regional Natural Park. This territory of moors, forests, and peat bogs offers a preserved natural setting, ideal for a summer getaway combining treasure hunting, nature, and conviviality.
