A car boot sale along the Creuse

Each year in early July, the Comité des Fêtes de La Celle-Dunoise organizes a large-scale car boot sale at the camping des Sillons, on the banks of the Creuse river. Between 100 and 200 exhibitors, individuals and professionals, set up their stalls along the river in a particularly pleasant shaded setting in summer. Doors open as early as 6 a.m. for the earliest bargain hunters, and the day of treasure hunting continues until 6 p.m.

La Celle-Dunoise is a rural commune nestled in the Creuse valley, between Guéret and Dun-le-Palestel. The Sillons campsite, by the river, offers an exceptional natural setting for the flea market: century-old trees, grassy banks, and water reflections create an enchanting backdrop for treasure hunting. The Creuse river, winding through granite hills covered with oaks and chestnut trees, is peaceful here and conducive to walks.

Organization and conviviality

Registration is mandatory for exhibitors, at a rate of 2 euros per linear meter. The possibility of parking your car on the pitch makes loading and unloading easier. Exhibitors can arrive as early as 5 a.m. to set up. Catering and refreshments are available on-site throughout the day, offering local products from the Creuse region.

The commune of La Celle-Dunoise is an ideal starting point for discovering the Creuse valley, listed among the most beautiful landscapes in Limousin. The hiking trails along the river offer magnificent views of the Creuse meanders and the wooded hillsides. The village's built heritage, with its church and granite houses, bears witness to the rural tradition of this part of Creuse, on the borders of Marche and Berry.
