Rambouillet Racecourse Flea Market (September)

A flea market on the racecourse

Once a year in autumn, the Rambouillet Racecourse on route de la Villeneuve opens its vast lawns to bargain hunters and amateur exhibitors for a large open-air flea market. The setting is exceptional: the size of the racecourse allows for a large number of stalls without feeling cramped. The 2026 edition is planned for Sunday 13 September.

An event reserved for private individuals

Unlike professional flea markets, the Racecourse event is essentially reserved for private individuals. This guarantees accessible prices and allows discovery of items from real family attics: childhood toys, clothes, books, records, tableware, tools, small furniture, decor and curiosities.

Villeneuve Racecourse, a unique site

Built in 1889, the Rambouillet Racecourse is one of the oldest in France. Located on the edge of the 14,000-hectare Rambouillet state forest, it regularly hosts flat and obstacle horse races. Outside race days, the space serves various events such as flea markets and plant fairs.

Rambouillet is world-famous for its castle, a presidential residence, and its huge state forest. Coming to the racecourse is a great opportunity to combine a flea market day with a forest walk or castle visit.

The racecourse is on route de la Villeneuve, a few minutes by car from the city centre and SNCF station (line N Transilien from Paris-Montparnasse). Free parking on site.
