The Car Boot Sale and Boat Jumble of Port Camargue, a unique spring tradition

Every spring, the Residents' Association of Port Camargue organizes one of the most original flea market events in the Gard region: the car boot sale and boat jumble. The concept combines the classic car boot sale for individuals with an unusual local specialty, the boat jumble, where boaters and owners of boats moored in the port offer nautical equipment, gear, accessories, and various items found on board their vessels for sale.

The event takes place in the market squares of Port Camargue, along the seafront promenade, in an idyllic setting between the sea and lagoons. The seaside promenade, the shaded squares, and the nearby cafes and restaurants create a pleasant strolling area for visitors. Free parking near the Forum, close to the "La Goélette" building, makes access easy for everyone.

Port Camargue, the largest marina in the Mediterranean

Port Camargue is a marina of European scale, the largest in the Mediterranean with several thousand berths. Attached to the municipality of Le Grau-du-Roi, it is surrounded by fine sandy beaches, canals, and preserved natural spaces of the Camargue region. The boat jumble here makes perfect sense: permanent residents and passing boaters take advantage of this annual event to sort, sell, and exchange in an atmosphere of maritime conviviality.
