On Sunday, June 8, 2025, the Car Boot Sale and Creative Arts of Laissac took over the Foirail bovins square for a day of hunting and creative discovery. Organized by the club Le Clouquié, this event brought together private sellers and artisans around the market, this emblematic site where the second-largest livestock market in France is held every Tuesday.
From 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, the aisles of the market transformed into a vast treasure trove: clothing, crockery, books, toys, trinkets, and furniture were displayed alongside creative arts stalls, where local artisans presented their original handmade creations. The exhibitor fee of 2 euros per linear meter, with no reservation required, allowed for open participation.
Laissac-Sévérac-l'Église, a commune in Aveyron with 2,250 inhabitants located between Rodez and Aubrac, offered an authentic setting for this friendly event. Visitors could enjoy refreshments and sandwiches on site, while admiring the local heritage, from the Tour Rességuier to the Gallic oppidum of Montmerlhe, a testament to a Ruthène occupation over two millennia old.
