A flea market on the Gapeau's banks

Solliès-Pont, the Var's fig capital, cherishes the tradition of association flea markets. One of the most loved is run by the Alphonse Daudet primary school's parent-teacher association under the evocative name 'Les Récrés d'Alphonse Daudet'. The event takes place in Parc Marie Astoin, the town's green lung by the Gapeau, a stone's throw from the school.

A privileged setting

Parc Marie Astoin is one of the loveliest spots in Solliès-Pont: plane trees and shade, gravel paths, lawns and the soothing murmur of the Gapeau. Vendors set up comfortably, hunters stroll in the shade enjoying natural coolness even in early spring.

What's on offer

First and foremost a family sale: children's clothing, toys, kids' books, baby gear, bicycles, scooters, board games, but also crockery, adult books, trinkets and decor offered by parents. Friendly vibe, moderate prices, and everyone understands proceeds fund outings and projects at the school.

A school-year event

The sale kicks off Solliès-Pont's brocante season ahead of the big Miaou market in late May/early June. It attracts a family crowd, largely from the canton but also hunters from the Toulon coast and Gapeau valley.
