Annual car boot sale of the APE in Saint-Côme-et-Maruéjols, in the Gard
Every spring, the village of Saint-Côme-et-Maruéjols (30870) comes alive with its annual car boot sale. Organized by the APE (Parents' Association) in collaboration with the association les Courants d'Air, this friendly event brings together individual sellers and flea market enthusiasts in the village streets, in the Gard region, about twenty kilometers from Nîmes.
Like many similar events organized by parents' associations, the Saint-Côme-et-Maruéjols car boot sale serves a dual purpose: to liven up the village and raise funds to finance school and community projects. Volunteers mobilized for the occasion ensure the organization of pitches and the reception of exhibitors and visitors in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
Individuals and exhibitors offer a wide variety of items: adult and children's clothing, furniture, books, records, toys, dishes, trinkets, and decorative objects. Everyone can find something they like among the stalls, while enjoying the friendly atmosphere typical of village car boot sales. Food and drinks are often offered by the organizing associations.
Saint-Côme-et-Maruéjols (30870) is a village of about 1,000 inhabitants in the Gard department, in the Occitanie region. Located in the Gard plain between Nîmes and Le Vigan, it belongs to the canton of Nîmes-6.
