Marestmontiers and the Santerre

Marestmontiers is a rural community of about 200 inhabitants located in the Santerre, this fertile agricultural plain in the southeast of the Somme. The village is about ten kilometers north of Montdidier, on the plateaus between the Avre valley and the Trois Doms valley. The landscapes are those of large cereal crops, punctuated by villages with slate and mechanical tile roofs characteristic of the region.
