Balzac School Flea Market in Fréjus

A flea market for the school

The Balzac school flea market is one of the associative events enriching Fréjus neighbourhood life. Organised annually by the parents' association, it takes place in the yard of Balzac primary school, mobilising volunteers, families, teachers and locals around funding educational projects (field trips, materials, workshops).

The 2025 edition ran on Sunday 16 November 2025, 7am-1pm, with free admission. The 2026 date will be announced by the school and parents' association, usually via neighbourhood flyers and social media.

A school-event spirit

This type of flea market is very different from commercial brocantes. Sellers are mostly parents and local residents clearing homes in a charitable and practical spirit. Footfall is largely local — families arriving on foot or bike.

Why come

Attending directly supports local kids. Every stand fee and purchase helps fund projects families would otherwise pay for. Also a chance to meet neighbours, discover the school and enjoy a friendly morning.

Food and activities

A bar and cake stalls run by parents usually round out the event. Kids' activities (face painting, small games) may be offered depending on volunteer numbers.

Balzac school sits in a residential Fréjus neighbourhood, easy to reach with parking. The schoolyard offers a safe, family-friendly space.
