A flea market supporting the public school
Every spring, the Parents' Association of École de l'Étoile in Le Thor hosts its annual flea market, a much-anticipated event for families in the commune and neighbouring Comtat villages. On 26 April 2026, the gathering takes place at 374 route de Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, on the edge of the town centre.
A village flea-market spirit
Stalls are run by private individuals selling children's toys and clothes, books, tableware, small furniture, childcare equipment and general bric-a-brac. A refreshment stand run by volunteers rounds out the morning.
A Provençal setting in the Comtat
Le Thor, a town of 9,000 inhabitants near L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, offers a typical Comtat setting with canals, the Romanesque collegiate church and the nearby Thouzon cave.
