Back-to-school flea market at the Beautheil-Saints Stud Farm, exceptional setting in the Brie
The Beautheil Flea Market is held in September in the remarkable setting of the Beautheil-Saints Stud Farm, a vast equestrian estate in the Seine-et-Marne Brie. This original event combines the friendly atmosphere of flea markets with an unusual venue: stalls set up around the buildings and stables, country atmosphere, views of horses and pastures. An atypical gathering that appeals to bargain hunters as much as to horse lovers.
Every September, the Beautheil-Saints Stud Farm hosts in its exceptional setting a large flea market that draws hunters and curious visitors from across Seine-et-Marne. The originality of the venue makes it one of the most atypical events in the department: you wander between stalls set up in the vast spaces of the stud, sometimes just a few meters from the boxes and paddocks where horses quietly watch the visitors. An unusual experience that gives this hunt a very special flavor.
Located in the new commune of Beautheil-Saints, formed by the merger of Beautheil and Saints in 2016, the Beautheil-Saints Stud Farm is a large equestrian estate in the Brie. It combines breeding activities, boarding, young horse training and sometimes sporting or cultural events. Its rural setting, typical buildings and vast pastures make it an ideal place to host a flea market, benefiting from both the available space and the special atmosphere.
The main appeal of this flea market lies in its setting. Vendors set up on the designated areas, offering a varied range of items: furniture, tableware, household linens, clothes, toys, books, tools, small appliances and decoration. But the charm of the place means visitors take their time, stroll, stop to watch the horses, chat with exhibitors. The atmosphere is that of a family outing where hunting is just a pretext for spending a beautiful day in nature.
The flea market naturally attracts a wide audience: flea market regulars, bargain hunters, but also families who come to enjoy the setting and equestrian enthusiasts curious to discover a stud from the inside. Children are particularly taken with the presence of horses and the possibility of observing them up close.
Beautheil-Saints is in the heart of the Seine-et-Marne Brie, between Coulommiers and Rozay-en-Brie. The surroundings offer many attractions: old villages, traditional Brie farms, medieval churches, the Grand Morin valley. Coulommiers, city of the famous cheese, is worth a stop for its heritage and market. Nature lovers will appreciate the hiking trails crossing the Brie countryside.
The flea market being organized on a stud farm, plan shoes suited to uneven ground. Respect the rules related to horses: do not approach them without permission, do not feed them. Arrive early to enjoy the best pieces. Bring cash and a sturdy bag. Parking is organized on site.
