A flea market for animals

Bretignolles-sur-Mer, flagship Côte de Lumière resort, hosts the Côte et Félins flea market several times a year. Like many animal-protection associations, they run essential fieldwork: neutering strays, feeding, adoption placement, public awareness.

Flea markets fund the association. 2026: summer on 23 August (tourist crowd), winter 28-29 November (Advent weekend). A solidarity format combining hunting and commitment — proceeds directly fund the association.

Solidarity commitment

Côte et Félins is one of many independent associations caring for stray cat populations along the Vendée coast. Volunteer action on private funds is essential given scale (fast reproduction, costly sterilisation). Visitors concretely support the cause.

Two complementary editions

Summer August edition benefits from tourist flow. Winter November edition, indoor, before Christmas — ideal for original cheap gifts and eco-responsible holidays.

Bretignolles-sur-Mer, authentic resort

One of the most charming resorts between Saint-Gilles and Les Sables. Lively centre, several beaches (La Parée, La Sauzaie, Marais Girard) and famous surf spots. Summer market and festive animations — family favourite.
