On 31 August 2025, the meadow opposite L'Olivier restaurant, rue de la Prairie in Varennes-Jarcy, hosted the 9th edition of the communal car boot sale organised by the Mairie de Varennes-Jarcy. Timed for the end of summer, this day allowed village residents and neighbouring communities to clear out their attics in a pleasant rural setting, enjoying the last fine days of the season. Private sellers only, free entry for visitors, authentic village atmosphere in the verdant Yerres valley.
