Car boot sale organized by the Comité des Fêtes de Châtillon-le-Duc, on the outskirts of Besançon
Châtillon-le-Duc is a town of 2,040 inhabitants located on the northern outskirts of Besançon, just a few kilometers from the center of the Franche-Comté capital. Perched at an altitude of 300 meters on a plateau offering beautiful views of the Besançon agglomeration, this village benefits from a pleasant living environment and a particularly dynamic associative fabric.
The Comité des Fêtes de Châtillon-le-Duc is one of the driving forces behind this intense community life. Its 2026 summer program is particularly full, with a car boot sale on June 14th, a cycling race on June 15th, and a music festival on June 20th. This succession of events demonstrates the energy deployed by volunteers to liven up their town and create moments of conviviality for all residents.
The Comité des Fêtes car boot sale traditionally opens the summer season in Châtillon-le-Duc. Private sellers and visitors gather for a friendly day of treasure hunting, in the popular and accessible spirit of Franche-Comté village festivals. The Place de la Mairie and its surroundings are transformed into a treasure market where furniture, tableware, clothing, books, and trinkets find new owners.
The proximity of Besançon and the good transport network connecting Châtillon-le-Duc to the city allow many visitors to easily access the event, strengthening its reach beyond the village itself.
The Comité des Fêtes de Châtillon-le-Duc car boot sale welcomes private sellers and visitors. Entry is free. Inquire with the Comité des Fêtes or the Châtillon-le-Duc town hall for exhibitor registration details.
