Annual car boot sale in Colombier-Fontaine, on the heights of the Pays de Montbéliard
Colombier-Fontaine is a village in the Pays de Montbéliard with nearly 1,400 inhabitants, located on the heights between the Allan valley and the Franche-Comté forests. Its annual spring car boot sale has become an anticipated event for treasure hunting enthusiasts from the entire Montbéliard-Héricourt-Audincourt area.
Private sellers set up at the car boot sale site from the morning to offer furniture, tableware, clothing, toys, books, and everyday items at very affordable prices. The variety of items offered and the friendly exchanges make this event appreciated by all generations.
The commune of Colombier-Fontaine was long marked by the metallurgical industry that shaped the entire Pays de Montbéliard. Its name evokes both the homing pigeon (colombier) and the springs (fontaine) that once powered mills and forges. Today, the village benefits from a preserved natural setting, between fir forests and green meadows, away from the urban hustle and bustle of Grand Montbéliard.
Its geographical location, at the crossroads of routes connecting Montbéliard to Baume-les-Dames, makes it an easily accessible village from surrounding communes such as Héricourt, Sochaux, or Voujeaucourt.
Registration for private sellers is subject to a specific scale: €15 for a pitch of at least 5 meters, €30 for 10 meters, €40 for 15 meters, and €55 for 20 meters. Entry is free for visitors. Parking is available near the site.
