6th edition of the Bugny car boot sale, in the streets of the Haut-Doubs village
Bugny is a small village in the Haut-Doubs located at about 1,000 meters above sea level in the Jura massif, about thirty kilometers south-east of Pontarlier. Its annual car boot sale, which celebrates its 6th edition in 2026, has established itself in a few years as an event eagerly awaited by the inhabitants of the valley and tourists passing through this preserved region.
Exhibitors take over the village streets to offer furniture, crockery, clothes, toys, and knick-knacks in an authentic mountain setting. The pitch fee, set at €3/linear meter, remains very affordable for individuals wishing to clear out their cellars, attics, or barns. A free coffee offered upon arrival for each exhibitor and light refreshments available on site add to the friendly atmosphere of this event.
Bugny belongs to the community of communes of Doubs Baumois and is one of those villages of character in the Haut-Doubs that have preserved their rural and mountainous identity. Its territory is crossed by the Loue valley, whose sources, classified among the most beautiful in France, are located a few kilometers away. The landscapes of meadows and fir forests surrounding Bugny are one of the major assets of this region.
The Bugny car boot sale is part of the festive tradition of the Comtois villages which liven up their summers with popular events open to all. The event benefits from favorable word-of-mouth throughout the Pontarlier canton and beyond.
Exhibitor fee: €3/linear meter. Coffee offered to each exhibitor. Light refreshments available on site. Free entry for visitors. Set up in the village streets.
