Car boot sale and flea market organized at the Étang de Robinson and the Stade de Chepniers
Chepniers is a small village in Haute Saintonge that has created an unmissable event for flea market enthusiasts thanks to its exceptional natural setting. The Étang de Robinson, a large body of water surrounded by greenery, hosts a car boot sale and flea market every spring, attracting treasure hunters from all over Charente-Maritime and neighboring departments.
Chepniers' calendar offers two highlights for bargain hunters. The main event takes place in March at the Étang de Robinson, as part of the Spring Festival, with a funfair, catering, and entertainment for the whole family. The second event takes place on July 14th at the municipal stadium (22, le Petit Bois), offering a national holiday atmosphere to this summer treasure hunting day.
The Étang de Robinson is a natural site popular with the inhabitants of Haute Saintonge. This developed body of water, equipped with picnic tables and shaded areas, offers an ideal setting for a family day out. The approximately 200 exhibitors set up their stalls by the pond, creating a relaxed and rustic atmosphere. Children enjoy the funfair while parents hunt for treasures among the aisles.
Located in the south of Charente-Maritime, not far from Montendre and Montlieu-la-Garde, the commune of Chepniers is one of those rural villages that maintain a lively associative fabric. The car boot sales and flea markets play a full part in the animation of this bocage and forest territory, between hills and meadows.
