Every June, Place Courbet in Ornans hosts the car boot sale organized by the Association des Parents d'Élèves (APE) of the town's schools. On this emblematic square named after the great realist painter native to the town, individuals and families set up their stalls to sell clothes, toys, books, crockery, and various objects in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

A solidarity initiative for the benefit of students

The profits generated by the organization of the car boot sale are entirely reinvested in the educational projects and school trips of the Ornans schoolchildren. This annual event is part of the tradition of associative car boot sales in France: it allows people to clear out their attics and cellars, save money by buying second-hand, and contribute directly to the enrichment of local educational activities.

Individuals wishing to exhibit can contact the APE d'Ornans to reserve their spot. The event exclusively welcomes individuals (no professionals). Children are welcome and entry is free for visitors.
