Foussais-Payré's solidarity sale runs over two days, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 April 2026. Proceeds go to a charity or local cause — classic brocante with solidarity twist.

Solidarity sales support various causes: medical research, hospital/disability support, anti-poverty, international aid, family support. Items come mainly from donations collected year-round.

Foussais-Payré, Petite Cité de Caractère

Vendée commune of nearly 1,300, in South Vendée between Fontenay-le-Comte and La Châtaigneraie. One of Vendée's 'Petites Cités de Caractère'. The 11th-century Romanesque Saint-Hilaire church is a jewel — its richly carved facade is among the finest of Poitevin Romanesque art.

Exceptional heritage

Also preserves an old manor, ancient houses and halles, testimony to past prosperity. Nestled in a hilly South-Vendée landscape: vineyards (Fiefs Vendéens), woods, bocage.
