The Philatelic and Numismatic Fair of Crots

The Amicale Philatélique de Crots (APCC) organizes a collector's fair every summer at the Salle Morgon, at 43 avenue du Château. This event brings together philatelists, cartophilists, and numismatists around stands offering stamps, old postcards, first-day covers, and coins.

Crots, a village in the Embrunais region located on the shores of Lake Serre-Ponçon, hosts this fair in the Salle Morgon, a communal space located near the castle. The town, also known for its large car boot sale on May 1st, thus affirms its role as a meeting place for collectors and bargain hunters.

What to find at the stands?

Exhibitors offer a wide range of second-hand items: old crockery, trinkets, frames and mirrors, books and magazines, toys, clothing, small appliances, tools, sports equipment, vinyl records and CDs, linens, and decorative objects. In the Hautes-Alpes, you can also regularly find typical mountain objects: old agricultural tools, cowbells, Savoyard furniture, vintage skis, snowshoes, and hiking equipment. Prices, generally very attractive, make these car boot sales an economical and ecological alternative to buying new.
