Collector's fair dedicated to postcards, stamps, and old books at the Laroquebrou village hall
Every summer, the Laroquebrou village hall, on the boulevard des Platanes, hosts a fair dedicated to old postcards, stamps, and old books. This annual event, still young but already appreciated by collectors, allows enthusiasts of cartophily, philately, and bibliophily to meet, exchange, and complete their collections.
Unlike general flea markets, the Laroquebrou Fair focuses on a well-defined universe: old papers in the broadest sense. You can find old postcards depicting villages in Cantal and Auvergne, collectible stamps, historical documents, old books, and regional publications. This specialization attracts an informed audience, passionate about local history and the memory of territories.
Laroquebrou is a picturesque town in the southwest of Cantal, dominated by the ruins of its medieval castle and crossed by the Cère river. The town retains remarkable architectural heritage with its turreted houses, narrow streets, and ancient bridge. The collectors' fair is part of the cultural life of this town that values its history and traditions.
The fair is held in the heart of summer, in July, attracting local collectors as well as tourists passing through the Cère valley. The village hall, located on boulevard des Platanes, offers a pleasant and shaded setting. From 10 am to 5 pm, visitors can browse the stalls, discover rare items, and chat with enthusiasts.
