Weekend dedicated to retro camping, vintage cycling and flea market in Saint-Astier in Périgord Blanc
The Puces du Rétro Campeur of Saint-Astier are a must-attend event for vintage camping enthusiasts. Every two years, at Pentecost, the association Lezamis Rétro Campeurs recreates a real campsite from the 1950s to the 1980s, with caravans, tents, motorhomes, vintage bicycles, and period accessories. In 2025, the 4th edition promises a festive and nostalgic weekend.
The heart of the event is a specialized flea market and swap meet dedicated to the world of camping: old camping equipment, caravans, tents, bicycles, spare parts, accessories, vintage clothing, and retro decoration. Exhibitors, enthusiasts, and collectors offer rare items and objects steeped in history. In parallel, an exhibition of retro vehicles — vintage cars, motorcycles, caravans, and motorhomes — offers a journey back in time.
Located on the banks of the Isle river, between Périgueux and Mussidan, Saint-Astier is a dynamic town in Périgord Blanc known for its cement factory, its listed Romanesque church, and its architectural heritage. The town's setting, with its quays along the Isle and its shaded squares, is ideally suited for this type of festive and friendly event.
Beyond the flea market, the Puces du Rétro Campeur offers a retro guinguette evening on Saturday night, concerts, entertainment, and on-site catering. The spirit is resolutely festive, nostalgic, and friendly, bringing together camping enthusiasts, vintage bicycle collectors, and the simply curious in a warm atmosphere.
