The Festive Day of Montpigot: an authentic village gathering

Every year in May, the hamlet of Montpigot, in the commune of Vebret (15240), comes alive for a festive day organized by the association Les Amis de Montpigot. This event combines a car boot sale, a craft market, and entertainment in a spirit of conviviality and sharing typical of rural Cantal festivals.

Car boot sale and producers' market

From 8 am to 6 pm, between 50 and 100 exhibitors set up along the village street to offer their finds: second-hand items, clothing, toys, crockery, and trinkets, alongside stalls from local artisans and producers. The originality of this event lies in this alliance between a traditional car boot sale and a local produce market, offering visitors a dual experience of treasure hunting and discovering Cantal craftsmanship.

Entertainment and catering throughout the day

The day's program is rich: tripe sales start at 9 am, free entertainment at 11:30 am and 6 pm, and fast food and a refreshment stand on site. A meal is also offered at 7 pm to extend the festivities into the evening. Families appreciate the entertainment and rides for children, while exhibitors receive a free coffee from the organizers.
