Vairé offers two 2026 dates: Sunday 3 May and Sunday 13 September. The biannual format: spring to empty wardrobes after winter; autumn to clear summer gear and gear up for winter. Two complementary opportunities.

Mostly local sellers, convivial atmosphere, refreshments usually run by a local association. You come as much to chine as to meet and catch up.

Vairé, Pays des Achards

Commune of around 1,700 in the Pays des Achards, between La Roche-sur-Yon and Les Sables-d'Olonne. Dynamic rural commune, with school, local shops and active community. Saint-Pierre church in a bocage setting.

Minutes from the coast

Ideal base for rural + coastal visits: Brétignolles-sur-Mer (beaches, cliffs) 15 min, Les Sables-d'Olonne 25 min, La Roche-sur-Yon 20 min. Draws locals, second-home owners and holidaymakers.

A tourist country

The Pays des Achards is a known tourist destination: campsites, leisure centres, family-focused accommodation. Flea markets have a natural clientele, especially during school holidays.

Brétignolles-sur-Mer beaches (15 min) — renowned surf spot, superb cliffs. Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie (20 min) and its fishing port. Les Sables-d'Olonne (25 min) and its Remblai. Jaunay lake for a shaded walk inland.
