Car boot sale of Puligny-Montrachet

Hunt for treasures in the heart of Burgundy's great crus on August 15th

Every August 15th, the association Les Rendez-vous du Montrachet organizes a car boot sale on the place du Pasquier de la fontaine, in the center of the village of Puligny-Montrachet. More than a hundred exhibitors – individuals and a few professionals – set up in this shaded square to offer second-hand items, trinkets, antique tableware, books, toys, vintage clothing, small furniture, and various curiosities. The event takes place even in bad weather.

Puligny-Montrachet is one of the most prestigious wine-growing villages in Burgundy, world-renowned for its white grand crus: Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet, and Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet. Located 12 km south of Beaune, the village offers an exceptional setting between vineyards and architectural heritage. The place du Pasquier de la fontaine, in the heart of the town, is a pleasant and friendly place to host this summer car boot sale.

A popular August 15th event for treasure hunters

August 15th, the Assumption Day, is traditionally a key date for flea markets and car boot sales in Burgundy. The one in Puligny-Montrachet attracts treasure hunters from all over the Côte-d'Or and beyond, seduced by the exceptional wine-growing setting and the relaxed atmosphere of the village. The refreshment stand and light catering on site allow for a pleasant extension of the day, between two hunting sessions.
