In June 2025, the Car boot sale of Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône hosted between 50 and 100 private sellers every Sunday in the Intermarché car park, avenue de la République. This weekly event allowed residents and visitors to hunt for treasures in the open air in this unique town, located at the exact meeting point between the Grand Rhône and the Mediterranean.
The stalls offered a wide variety of second-hand items: clothing and accessories, crockery and ceramics, toys and games, books and vinyl records, small furniture, and decorative trinkets. Entry was free for visitors, and the secure, video-surveilled car park provided a convenient setting for this popular event.
Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône, a member of the Camargue Regional Natural Park, offered bargain hunters its unique setting between river and sea. The Tour Saint-Louis, built in 1737, and Napoleon Beach, with its 10 kilometers of fine sand, completed a day of discovery combining a car boot sale and Camargue heritage. The car boot sale continues in 2026 with Sunday editions throughout the year.
