Pierre-Bénite, an industrial commune south of Lyon

Pierre-Bénite is a commune of around 10,000 inhabitants located on the left bank of the Rhône, in the southern suburbs of Lyon, about ten kilometres from the city centre. The commune is known for its chemical industrial platform, one of the most important in the region, which stretches along the banks of the Rhône. Pierre-Bénite has a TER railway station on the Lyon-Vienne line and direct access to the A7 motorway.
