Saint-Urbain is a small ~2,500 commune in the northern Breton marsh of Vendée, on the Loire-Atlantique border. The village near Machecoul and Grand-Lieu Lake keeps a preserved rural feel. Its Saint-Joseph private school is supported by an active OGEC. 2025: Sunday 3 August, 2026: Sunday 2 August.

Summer flea market

Early August is strategic: captures locals, holidaying families, coast-bound tourists. Very varied public. Hot weather adapts hours: set up 6-7am, peak 9-11am, slowing early afternoon.

Heat possible. Hat, sunscreen, water bottle. Come early. Prices very reasonable (end-of-summer clearance).
